BuyBocceBalls started over 20 years ago. I was a husband and father of two young boys in preschool. Through the preschool I met a number of dads all eager to connect.

What started as casually tossing a few balls in a nearby park quickly became something we looked forward to every week. There was laughter. Storytelling. Friendly competition. I remember looking around one afternoon and thinking — why isn’t this a bigger part of our lives?

I set out to find a beautiful, high quality bocce set . At first, it was just going to be a birthday gift for one of the dads — something meaningful, something lasting. But what I found felt disposable. Generic. Forgettable.

That’s when it became clear: there was a gap. Not just in the product, but in the experience.

So I created BuyBocceBalls.com to bring bocce back not just as a game, but as a reason to gather.

Two childhood friends grew up together, but as young adults, one stayed in England and the other moved to the United States. Distance never diluted what mattered: friendly competition, laughter that carries past sunset, and a small trophy that means everything. For over 15 years, the Bocce Trophy has crossed the Atlantic, handed over at airports and packed into family suitcases, awarded to whichever family claimed victory the last time the pallino dropped. Courts changed. Seasons changed. Kids grew up and joined in. The ritual remained.
